It took me a second to realize what FYC stood for: someone had given up a load of For Your Consideration Emmy promo discs. Neat! None of the shows really caught my eye, but for the right collector I’m sure they’d be a cool thing to display.

Apparently the Emmys stopped having physical collections like this because of the associated waste and I can see why. Imagining how many of these were made just for one year, sent out to however many potential voters, then discarded makes my head spin. There was a huge stack on the shelf, mostly seasons from the late 00s up to the mid 10s.

I didn’t get any of them, I didn’t really have a reason to buy them just to stick on a shelf and none of the shows were really of much interest to me.
