Right before Thanksgiving we went to one of our local thrift stores and this Netflix box caught my eye, mostly because Netflix doesn’t put out DVDs of their show.

It took me a second to realize what FYC stood for: someone had given up a load of For Your Consideration Emmy promo discs. Neat! None of the shows really caught my eye, but for the right collector I’m sure they’d be a cool thing to display.
Apparently the Emmys stopped having physical collections like this because of the associated waste and I can see why. Imagining how many of these were made just for one year, sent out to however many potential voters, then discarded makes my head spin. There was a huge stack on the shelf, mostly seasons from the late 00s up to the mid 10s.
